First Walk Sunday 16th September 2pm

This Autumn Waterford Sports Partnership is organising a series of leisure walks which will give people a chance to get out and get active whilst enjoying the beautiful Waterford countryside.
The first walk in the 2012 Walk Waterford Autumn Series is the newly developed Coastal Dunmore East Walk. This trail follows cliff top paths to the picturesque Portally Cove. It is an easy ramble with spectacular views and even a Kittiwake colony on route. It is a linear trail, approximately 4km in length and will take about an hour to complete. It is suitable for most walkers as it is mainly flat however there are a few steps at the beginning of the walk and two or three small rises.

So come and join us on our first outing. We will be meeting in Dunmore East at the public car park on the right as you turn down to the harbour at 1.50pm on Sunday 16th September
All walkers will need suitable walking shoes (runners are ideal), warm clothing and a waterproof jacket. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. If you can’t make this walk perhaps you can make the next one which is the Dungarvan Railway Walk on Sunday 23rd September.
