Waterford Dodgeball Youth League up & running

Waterford Sports Partnership and Waterford Dodgeball Club held the first ever Dodgeball Youth League for Community Youth groups in Waterford City on Friday 7th March.
Teams from Children’s Group Link, Manor St. John YP, Northern Suburbs CYP, Ballybeg CYP, BALL and SHY Youth projects entered the league. The league will take place every second Friday, over a period of 8 weeks and caters for two age sections- U-12 and U-15.

This fast paced, high energized activity began with great excitement as the young people dived, ducked, jumped, slipped - and of course, dodged their way to an hour of fun exercise.

After the first week, Children’s Group Link hold 1st and 2nd place. While hot on their heels are Shy, Children’s Group Link, Manor St. John and BALL. Northern Suburbs and Ballybeg have not got out of the blocks as quick, but expect these teams to be pushing up the table as the weeks progress if commitment is anything to go by.

Waterford Sports Partnership would like to thank Children’s Group Link and Manor St. John for the use of their facilities.

The next Blitz takes place on Friday 22nd March from 5pm-6pm at Children’s Group Link and Manor St. John.
