Waterford Sports Partnership is running a Games Workshop on Wednesday 23rd October 2013 from 10:30am-3:30pm in Rainbow Hall, Kilmacthomas. The cost of the workshop is 5 euro and lunch is included. The workshop will involve demonstrations and practice of various indoor games and the Go For Life Games activities; Flisk, Lobbers and Skidils.
We will be encouraging groups to practice the Go For Life games after the workshop in preparation for a Waterford Go For Life Games league starting in January 2014. The aim of the league will be for teams to compete against other groups in the county to take part in the Go For Life Games in summer 2014. The Go for Life Games is a yearly event involving counties from all over Ireland that provides an opportunity for enjoyable and social physical activity participation among older adults. Waterford was the winning team overall in the Lobbers event in 2013, don’t miss the chance to get involved in 2014!
