The Go for Life Games is an annual event run by Age & Opportunity, Go for Life (GFL) and the Health Service Executive in partnership with Local Sports Partnerships. The GFL Games are a celebration of physical activity among older adults in which teams from counties all over Ireland are invited take part in a one day bowling games tournament.

The aim of the league is to encourage older adults groups to work together to organise opportunities for sustainable, social and enjoyable physical activity. The teams expressed their interest after attending a workshop in October 2013 and are now ready to get started!
The first county match will be hosted by Cappoquin Active Retirement in Cappoquin Community Centre with members of Dungarvan Active Retirement visiting to play the three Go for Life Games activities; Scidils, Lobbers and Flisk.
Well done to all teams taking part, we hope you enjoy the league!
