Waterford Sports Partnership is hosting the third and final coaching seminar on Monday November 26th focusing on Games for Understanding. This seminar will cover how coaches can get the most out of a game situation. This session will specifically look at adapting generic games to develop decision makers.
There will also be a number of practical games that can be used in any coaching session on the night.
Games for Understanding will be tutored by Peter Jones (Waterford Sports Partnership), Declan O’ Leary (Coaching Ireland), John O’ Neill (Munster Rugby Development Officer) and Jason Ryan (former Wexford Football Manger and PE Teacher Coláiste Cathail Naofa). Participants will be asked on the evening to deliver their own session in this area to fellow group members and gain constructive feedback to develop their own coaching skills.
The Seminar will take place on Monday 26th November in the Kingfisher Club Waterford at 7.15pm with registration starting at 7pm. As this is a practical seminar, participants are asked to wear appropriate clothing.
Booking is essential as places are limited. The cost of the seminar is €10 per person with a Special Group Rate of €25 per Seminar for 3 coaches from the same club.
