As part of the Waterford Sports Partnership Club Development Seminar Series 2015 we are hosting a GAA certified Warm-up, Stretching and Movement Workshop, in conjunction with the Waterford GAA Coaching and Games Development.
Waterford Coaching & Games Development in conjunction with Pat Flanagan from Peak Fitness have produced a Booklet for coaches of Primary School aged children and the workshop will reflect the content of the booklet. Coaches will be given the opportunity to participate in some of the activities and will be given age appropriate programmes for warm up, stretching and movement exercises. Coaches will also be shown how to incorporate Warm Up/Stretching and Movement exercises into Skill Development Work.
This workshop will be of benefit to coaches of players up to U12 in all sports

The Workshop will be facilitated by Pat Flanagan of Peak Fitness.
A native of Waterford City, Pat Flanagan began his career teaching Physical Education at the Presentation Secondary school in 1983. He joined the Health and Leisure Department of the Tralee Institute of Technology in 1995 where he still lectures in Adapted Physical Activity, High Performance Training and Exercise Physiology. Formerly an International Sprinter and National Sprint Champion, Pat has more than 30 years’ experience in getting people fit and active and in training elite teams. He is passionate about the benefits of physical activity and training for all from those with low fitness levels to the elite sports performer. As a Strength and Conditioning Coach with the Kerry Senior Football team he has won three All Irelands, three National League Titles and four Munster Titles. He has worked with many senior county GAA teams including Waterford, Cavan, Laois, Dublin, Roscommon and Longford. In 2013 he worked as Strength and Conditioning Coach with the Waterford Senior Hurlers and Dr.Crokes Senior Football Team in Kerry.
