Would you like to learn how to plan, organise and lead better activity sessions for youth groups, young people, individuals with a disability, summer camps etc? Then this is the course for you!!
The Irish Sports Council ACTIVE LEADERSHIP AWARD is designed to provide participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to plan, organise and lead the delivery of a safe activity session.
The course is a mixture of practical and theoretical work and looks specifically at equipping leaders with the skills to work in a wide range of locations including local clubs, community groups, workplaces, community centres, summer camps and sports clubs. The training will be an enjoyable experience and the participants are assessed throughout the course on attendance, interest, personal skills and leadership skills. This award also involves the satisfactory completion of a final practical assessment on either a warm up, activity based warm up, main activity or cool down.
The course will run over two days:
Thursday 29th May: 9.30am to 4pm
and Friday 30th May: 9.30am – 2pm
in the Crystal Sports Centre at a cost of €25pp (Over 18’s only)
