National Play Day 2014

National Play Day takes place on Sunday 6th July - the focus of National Play Day is 'going out to play', where projects create opportunities for outdoor play at street, neighbourhood and community level.
Waterford Sports Partnership (WSP) has secured funding from the Department of Children and Youth Affairs for National Play Day to run some events for teenagers in Walton Park on Sunday 6th July from 12 to 2pm. 

In partnership with Waterford County Comhairle na nÓg, WSP will run a Family and Teenage Fun Day in Walton Park, Dungarvan. There will be activities for families with children aged from five upwards including soccer, Caman Abu (GAA), children and parent relay races, balance bike training and a family Pilates session.

Activities for older children aged 10-16 will included of mixed martial arts, BMX, and yoga. The event will be led by members of Waterford County Comhairle na nÓg and will link with local clubs.
