Cycle Tutor Training

Thirteen post leaving cert students from Coláiste Chathail Naofa completed three hours of Go Dungarvan Cycling Tutor Training on Thursday 3rd April.
The training session will enable the tutors to deliver cycling skills training to secondary school children and adults in a new two hour session and a new three session block of cycling training for primary schools children.

This tutor training session is in preparation for training ninety second year students (Ard Scoil Na nDeise, St Augustine’s, CBS) and two hundred and seventy 3rd and 4th class students (Scoil Mhuire, St Marys, Scoil Gharbhain, St Josephs, Holy Cross and Glór na Mara) who will receive cycling training in May and June.

Cycling tutor Simon O’Hara who is one of the tutors who attended the training said ‘Quality coaching plus quality training equals safe and confident cyclists and this training will help us achieve this’.
