National Trails Day Sunday October 7th

This Sunday 7th October is National Trails Day. National Trails Day is embraced around the Country with hundreds of walks hosted by walking clubs, locals and community groups. All walk details can be found on www.nationaltrailsday.ie

For Walk Waterford's National Trails Day walk, Waterford Sports Partnership has selected the newly opened Waterford Nature Park in Waterford City. This Park has a number of trails of varying length, fitness equipment and numerous lookout points and play areas.

This is a great opportunity for anyone who has yet to visit the Park, why not join us this coming Sunday at 2pm in the Park car park (entrance via the Kingfisher club Tramore Road). The walk will take just over an hour and we will be pointing out the many features the park has to offer.

All walkers will need suitable walking shoes (runners are ideal), warm clothing and a waterproof jacket. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
