On a warm and sunny Friday evening, the annual Pat Doyle Memorial Street Soccer Blitz took place at the Williamstown all weather pitches. Teams from Avondale, Crystal Court, Richardsons Meadow and Grace Dieu took part in U10, U12 and U14 age groups.
Over recent weeks, FAI Development Officers hosted a number of coaching sessions in a number of communities in the City. These sessions appeared to be beneficial as the team work and individual skill set were clear for all to see. The aim of the Street Soccer league is to encourage young people who do not play for a club to play for their community. With the European championships in full swing now is the perfect time for your child to get into sport.
The Street Soccer Summer League will begin 26th June.
