On Your Marks
We were delighted with the engagement of parents and toddlers at our 'On Your Marks' Safety & Balance Bike Event on Saturday at the Waterford Festival of Food.
Almost 100 parents and children enjoyed the event which was run in partnership with Waterford Childcare Committee, Comhairle na nOg and local childcare centres.
Families began with a fun warm up followed by water for rehydration. They then donned their hi-vis vests and focused on the the themes of holding hands whilst crossing the road and stopping, looking and listening. Finally, the children were given a spin on our balance bikes and enjoyed some fun challenges before replenishing their energy stores with fresh fruit.
All round the event was a great success!
