We coordinated circuit training in Dungarvan Sports Centre for older adults during September and October. We are delighted that thirty five older adults took part in at least one session where the craic and banter were matched only by the improvements in physical fitness.
The circuit includes a range of exercises to develop strength, joint mobility, flexibility, coordination, fitness with participant Mary Power saying ‘we come in on a Monday morning all lethargic, and we walk out at eleven refreshed and full of energy’.
We are taking a break in November from circuits but are continuing our Monday mornings in Dungarvan Sports Centre with the games beginning on Monday 7th November 9.30-11 at a cost of €3 which includes tea/coffee.
