A great chance to promote your club

The Wheel are delighted to invite sports clubs and associations to enter the Sports Award. The new award offers Irish sports clubs and associations a chance to raise their profile, to pay tribute to their volunteers, recruit new supporters and fundraise.

One lucky club/association will also win a cash prize of €1,000!

1. Put your club in the spotlight: any sports club or association on the island of Ireland can enter by submitting a short video (no longer than two minutes long). The video should ideally focus on the contribution of volunteers (players, coaches etc.) and the theme "better together".  It can be a new or existing video, but it should be no longer than two minutes long. Don't worry, if you have never made a video; anyone with a smartphone or digital camera can do it! Check out our Video Making 101 guide if you need help.

2. Upload your video to Youtube or Vimeo, copy the link and enter it here: (entries close 7 November at 5pm).

3. Mobilise: The videos will be hosted on where the public will vote for their favourite entries. Last year over 400,000 people watched the videos on the website - that's a lot of potential supporters!
