Golf for Adults with a Disability
Waterford Sports Partnership has just finished running an 8 week Golf Programme for Adults with a Disability. The programme was tutored by Ian St John PGA Professional and funded by the Irish Sports Council. Five participants attended the golfing skills programme in Tramore Driving range and Williamstown Golf Course. The aim of the programme was to teach adults with a disability some of the basic and more advanced skills needed to play golf.

Development Fund receipients - Tried & Tested Triathlon Club
In 2011 under its Coaching and Development Funds, Waterford Sports Partnership allocated 10,580 euro to 28 separate clubs and organisations.The Coaching & Development Funds are open to all sports clubs in Waterford. The maximum allocation is 250 euro for the coaching fund and 300 euro for the Development Fund.
Women on Wheels up and running in Waterford City
On Saturday 14th of July, Waterford Sports Partnership hosted the 2012 Women on Wheels Programme at the Regional Sports Centre. The Programme is for women who are new to cycling and or who cycled before and want to get back on the bike again. The ultimate aim is that by the end of this seven week programme the participants will feel ready to take part in this year’s Sean Kelly Tour of Waterford.

Men Only Training
Waterford Sports Partnership secured funding from the HSE to run a programme which offered exercise opportunities to males over 35 who hadn’t been actively involved in sport for a while. The Men Only Training (MOT) programme was run by Waterford Sports Partnership in conjunction with local clubs and facilities in the Dungarvan area. The specific aim of the programme was to increase the activity levels of the participants and to inform them about the various activities on offer in their own locality.
Surfing for Young People
Waterford Sports Partnership in association with T- Bay Surf Centre hosted a certified four week Surfing Programme for young people aged 14-16 years. Participants on the Programme were from; Manor St. John Youth Project, St. Paul’s School Completion and Inner City Youth Project.

WOW - Women on Wheels 2012
