This is an easy stroll which is approximately 2.5km in length. The walk will take about an hour and we will be stopping for a break at the magnificent Mahon Falls to catch our breath and enjoy the amazing scenery. It is suitable for most walkers as it is mainly flat however there is a steep section near the falls which will require a bit of muscle power on the way back if you are pushing a buggy (this is only a 10 metre section).
Waterford
Sports Partnership and trained local walking leader volunteers will meet
walkers at the Mahon Falls Car Park (sign posted from the N25 at Kilmacthomas
and Lemybrien) this Sunday 29th April 1:50pm. All walkers will need suitable walking shoes
(runners are ideal), warm clothing and a waterproof jacket. Children under 16
must be accompanied by an adult.
