Be Active ASAP

WSP would like to invite schools to take part in The Be Active ASAP Programme this February. This is a free two and a half hour training session and includes a comprehensive activities manual, making it easy to follow the programme.

The programme aims to improve the physical activity patterns of school children by introducing them to a wide variety of activities in a fun, supportive, positive environment, fostering positive
attitudes toward physical activity during children’s crucial formative years. The programme takes place on schools grounds, which offers a safe, familiar, convenient setting for an age-appropriate introduction to after-school physical activity. The programme is designed for 7-8 year old children (1st & 2nd class), and is led by trained teacher leaders and supported by parents.  Parental support is crucial to the programme to improve the adult:child ratio, to support the teacher and to set a good example for the children.

The Training takes place in

Carrigeen National School, Co. Killkenny
Wednesday 1st February | 3.30 – 6pm
Deadline: Wednesday 25th January

If your school is interested in taking part in this training please contact Paul Friel, Be Active ASAP Co-ordinator on 046 906 7337 or email paul.friel@meathcoco.ie.
